I've Got An Itch!

I'm grateful for little things that comforts me like. . .LOTION! And for my husband,  who is a good back scratcher!

Tis the season for dry winter ITCHIES that about DRIVE ME CRAZY! How about you?

My mom liked Avon lotions or Watkins.

My dad liked Chamberlain's Lotion in the yellow bottle.

My maternal farmer "Papa" liked Udder Butter in the spotted black and white tin.

My paternal farmer grandpa liked Cornhuskers lotion. Both kept the lotion handy at the back door sink where they washed up before coming into the kitchen.

I don't remember if either grandmother liked a particular lotion. I can remember my paternal grandmother's medicine cabinet though, packed with stuff like Campho-Phenique in a little green bottle, good for skeeter bug itchies.

I'm immensely thankful though that I don't have to wear stinky bear grease!

  1. My best is Cetaphil. It's not scented and would be safe to use even on your legs. Get the cream in the fat round jar. It's worth it. You'll be glad you tried it I'm sure😘

  2. I made my own body butter which includes several good base creams (shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, and Stress Away essential oil mostly). I gave some to Dear Daughter because the Shea butter works really well on her excema.

  3. O'Keefe's Working Hands is good for cracked hands from the winter weather. It is a round green container and we got ours at a drug store locally. I would check the drug stores or at Walmart.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. (Hebrews 12:28).
